Shepherding Training II in Northern California

Guidelines for

The Local Implementation in the Pursuit of the Truth

I. Shepherding Training II in Northern California will be conducted in two parts:
The first part will be from October 20 to November 16; the second part will be from November 17 to December 15. The first day of each
part will be an all-day training with all the churches coming together. The rest of the time the training will be conducted separately in each of
the churches.
II. The goal of the local trainings is to review and implement the points brought up in the general training. This consists of two main items:
A. The implementation of a Truth Study Schedule (TSS) for the church:
1. The whole church should have a schedule for the 8 weeks of training with daily readings.
2. Individual saints can have their own plan but are encouraged to join the church schedule.
3. The church should publish the schedule and pass it out week by week to the saints, as well as making announcements in the meetings
to encourage the saints to participate.
4. All trainees who have signed up for the Shepherding Training should turn in weekly exercise checklist; they can have their own schedule
of truth pursuit, but are encouraged to join the church’s schedule.
5. There are 3 suggested schedules:
a. LS of 1 & 2 Peter and Jude (52 msg)---standard track (1/day)
b. LS of 1 & 2 Peter and Jude—slow track (1 or 2 per week)
c. Recovery Version (Matthew 6 wks Mk 3 wks)--RSG
B. The formation of Truth Study Groups (TSG):
1. Leading ones in each of the churches should ensure that the trainees of the Shepherding Training are formed into Study Groups; this
should be done ob or before October 20.
2. Each Study Group should meet at least once a week to go over the material the group has studied. The whole group should have
a common schedule; preferably this will be the schedule that the whole church is doing (the TSS for that church).
3. Every week, the Group Coordinator will report to the leading ones of the church the statistics of the attendance of the Study Group
meetings. The leading one will in turn report the statistics to the Coordinator for the whole training.
4. Members of a Study Group can be trainees of the Shepherding Training, or they may be just saints, or even new ones.
